the need to promote myself

I spend a lot of time online... other than surfing and playing games, I work online (strictly self employed) and run a couple "just for fun" sites. I probably spend more time online than offline.

Free Comic Book Day - July 3 at many comic shops. check for participators in your area.

I admit it... I'm a comic art junkie. I love em all - old & new, amateur & pro. last year I hauled off at least a dozen free comics & a few purchases as well.

something yummy

Kroger makes the best banana popsicles! no contest! they are called "banana fudge" and come in the assorted box of 24 "pop & fudge" Kroger brand pops. as far as I know, you have to buy the assorted box to get them, you can't just buy the banana fudge flavored ones... but they're all good.

a compliment

no matter how many times graphics clients say "You are awesome!! I love them!" ... it always feels good to hear it! and much more rewarding than slaving my life away at a meaningless job.

a Tawny Emperor butterfly

yesterday was a bad day... I had one of those blinding headaches that makes you check the mirror to see if there is indeed an axe sticking out of your head. also, I lost my atm card... (uugh!) one of those things... you can't believe how stupid someone would have to be to leave their card in the machine... then lo & behold it happens to you and you really feel like a moron. (ps: if you are IVAN C PITONI - I found your card in the atm awhile back and cut it up)

today is a good day... I like to photograph butterflies and this morning I had the good fortune to spot a Tawny Emperor in Piedmont Park. when I got online to identify the butterfly, I found out that there were no verified sightings of the Tawny Emperor in Fulton County, Georgia... so I got my sighting verified and established the county record at the Butterflies of North America website. I feel like I made some tiny contribution to science (yay!).
