On my travels through blogland, I have discovered so many wonderful places. Remnants of Olde is one of those mysterious wonderful places. It feels like one of those old hidden curiosity shops found down that dark and seldom traveled street.
Unique and incredible works of art are tucked away inside - take a look at one of my favorites: Learning to Fly. This piece is not just lovely to look at, but is a mechanical work of art.

Wonderland

I started stitching this set of puppets over a year ago and had tucked them away with plans to expand the set to include more characters. With CPSIA looming, I figured I had better photograph and list them for sale before they became illegal to sell!
They are listed in my Etsy shop here:
Alice in Wonderland Set of 5 Finger Puppets
I added a few extra details like a gold chain & trim on the White Rabbit's pocket watch, a pink embroidered flower in Alice's hair, crazy eyes on the Mad Hatter, and of course, a big ear-to-ear grin on the Cheshire Cat!
I am crossing my fingers for textile and thread exemptions in the CPSIA law, so I can continue to earn a living doing something that I love.

Panda Love
I stitched up a bit of Panda Love today. I added the pattern for this little cutie to my hobby site. I have built up a nice collection of free cross stitch patterns to print and stitch - so go grab a few and stitch a bit.
The patterns are mostly small, simple, and quick to stitch, so they are great for making greeting cards, ornaments, bookmarks, or embellishing clothing.

A Little Art to Soothe My Soul
I took a little time this weekend to escape into art. I received a wonderful little goodie pack from a friend in one of my art groups (Thanks again, Lisa!). The goodie pack included some really beautiful papers ~ which I simply had to use to make these inchies.
I have to say that I really do feel much better after making them. The bright colors and little birdies have worked wonders to lift my spirits!
