09MAR13 *I jumped ahead a bit and finished the edges.  I did a simple folded over edge border with mitered corners.  Now I just need to finish the hand quilting "in the ditch" between all of the rest of the blocks.

Each square is 4 inches - I am quilting along the seams.  This photo shows top all pieced.

Here is the quilt with the finished border. (Still have to get the hand quilting finished.)
