Another Completed Book

My etsy sales have slowed down giving me enough time to (finally) complete my 5th puzzle book. It is my first "mini" book, and the first one that I am printing, cutting, punching, binding, selling and shipping myself. Whew!

More about the puzzles: The puzzles are called Pixel Paint by Number Logic Puzzles, and are also known as Nonograms, Griddlers, Art by Number Puzzles, Hanjie puzzles, CrossPix, Tsunami puzzles, Pic-a-Pix (PAP), Enigma puzzles and Paint-Doku. This may be why folks have a hard time finding them ... too many names!

The puzzles are based on counting and logic, rewarding you with a picture when you have solved them. Learning how to solve them is somewhat simple, but the puzzles can become quite complex.

My little mini book features 30 small puzzles and is a nice size to tote around during the summer. A nice book for solving puzzles while traveling - riding in a car or train or plane. Toss it in your bag and take it with you to the beach or park.

I just listed it for sale on my website and sent out notice in my puzzle newsletter (long overdue) ... so now I will just cross my fingers, hope for some sales, and get back to work on some of my other zillion projects.

my 4th book completed

I just released my 4th book: Pixel Paint by Number Logic Puzzles Winter. I'm happy to finish this book, especially since it completes the four seasons series that I started creating in 2003.

I am really proud of my books. So much hard work went into each one, I feel that it is quite an accomplishment to finish a set of four.

If you are unfamiliar with this type of puzzle (nonogram, griddler, tsunami puzzle, art by number), please visit my website , where I have a "how-to solve" tutorial, free sample puzzle and more info.

paint by numbers

after months of solid work, my third book of Pixel Paint by Number Logic Puzzles is nearing completion. All 100 of the puzzles and answers have been created & charted. The cover artwork and copy is complete, and I am nearly done assembling everything into the book layout. Then I simply need to await arrival of my proofing copy to make the final edits. yea! This was the hardest of the three books to complete & I am so happy to be in the home stretch.

I plan to take a few months off from puzzle creation, before I start my next book. I need a break and have the urge to do a (gasp!) paint by number. I started a kit last weekend & am finding it very relaxing. No thinking, no planning, no creating... just follow the numbers and paint. ahh! I'll post photos when I am further along with the painting. In the meantime, here is a cool paint by numbers site.
