a Lovely Sundew

I just wanted to share a photo of one of my sundews (Drosera spatulata).

I grew this little sundew from a seed that looked like a speck of dust.  She is just over a year old and measures about 1-1/2" across.

Sundews are carnivorous plants.  They produce a sweet sticky nectar "dew" which they use to catch bugs.  I love the way they glisten and sparkle in the sunlight.

Sundews make great apartment plants.  They stay pretty small and they love to eat gnats!
