the Holiday Sampler

in my mailbox this week. It's so much fun to get a Sampler! I received a truly wonderful mix of items from the talented folks who contributed. Items include: a beautiful calendar, very cool scrapbook kit, several greeting cards (nice), holiday cookbook zine, several pins, handmade magnets, crocheted ornaments, earrings (yay!), tea, a soy wax melt, small collage pack, and a sweet little pouch! Lots of coupons and promo cards from everyone, too! I don't want to play favorites ~ I think everything I got is great! I'm a happy girl.

Brrr! This morning was the first time in a long time that the temperature was below 20 degrees in Atlanta! With a wind chill factor tossed in, it felt like 6 degrees outside while I was toting packages to the Post Office. Nothing like a brisk mile & a half walk to get the blood pumping!

another week of stitching

my contributions for the Sampler. This time I am stitching holiday ornaments. They look great on a tree or used as package tie-ons.

As soon as I get the ornaments finished, I'll be working on another batch of finger puppets to send to Paper Boat Boutique.

I have received several postcards through postcrossing, and have been posting pics of the cards and stamps over at my hobby website. I love receiving mail from all around the world!

Sampler Goodies!

I received my first wonderful Sampler package! There are so many terrific items to enjoy! I felt like a kid on Xmas morning, excited about all the little goodies.

I am already working on my items to contribute for the Holiday edition of the Sampler. I am making little hand stitched ornaments that can be hung on holiday trees or used to decorate gifts. I have a lot of work ahead of me.

the Sampler

I have been wanting to contribute to the Sampler for quite awhile now ... so I jumped right in. I sent in a nice big batch of Jack O'Lantern finger puppets and little skull badges for the October edition.

Since it was my very first time, I sent everything off nice and early (Sept 2).
I have been anxiously awaiting the USPS delivery confirmation update saying that my package had been delivered ... still no news. Uugh! Could my little puppet friends have taken a wrong turn somewhere? Where, oh where could they be?

The good news is that Marie (of the Sampler) is updating the list of received contributions, tonight. So, I am about to be very very happy -or- very very sad. Stay tuned as the drama unfolds.

PS. I stitched my 500th puppet this morning and the contest is now closed. Please check my previous post to see if you are the winner.

****************UPDATE****************
22 SEP 06: A big WOO-HOO and a sigh of relief! I'm on the list ... My little puppet friends made it to California and I'm am now officially part of "the Sampler" - October 2006 edition.
