DUCJC : Days 15 - 21

Howdy folks!  I have been keeping up with my DUCJC stitching ... I am just a bit slow to post.  Here we go:

Jan 15) Boo! by The Prairie Schooler (freebie)
Another Halloween ornament in progress.  Such a cute pattern.  I should have a nice little Halloween display when October rolls around this year.

Jan 16) Orchid Intrigue by Beth Ann Seal - JCS Feb 2015 Issue
From the latest issue of Just Cross Stitch.  Not sure how I will finish it ... maybe a biscornu? maybe an ornament?  (I don't have any Valentine ornaments, yet.)

Jan 17) American Sampler by Sandy Orton

A big project that has been waiting in the wings. This one has lots of specialty stitches - fun, fun, fun!

Jan 18) To Everything There Is a Season by Sandy Orton

I am such a Sandy Orton fan.  This one is included in The Best of Kooler Design Studio.

Jan 19)
A Chirpy Sort of Place (gifted to me)
A nice simple stitch with lots of bold color areas.

Jan 20) Stitcher Sampler (freebie)
I am stitching this pattern on a very chunky looking piece of 11 ct Aida with 3 strands of black floss.  I don't often stitch on 11 ct, but this oatmeal colored piece of Aida has some lovely texture to it.  I have the idea to incorporate it into a cover for a fabric journal book of stitches I am planning.  hmmm.

Jan 21) Mini Butterfly

One of those cute little kits form the dollar bin at Michaels.  I enjoy these quick little kits, as they are finished when you are finished stitching - since you stitch them right in the frame.

Whew! That gets me all caught up!  10 more days of new projects.  During February I will work on a different WIP each day.  Most of my WIPs are larger projects, and have been sadly neglected ... so I am itchin' to get stitchin'.

  1. Love the Sandy Orton piece!

Coincidentally, one of my friends just found that Prairie School freebie while packing (or unpacking?) so it was surprising to see it in two places in one day ;)

    Orchid intrigue looks beautiful.

    Great progress! Congrats :)

  6. Oh that was funny, the progress pictures were cropped in my reader so it looked like you hadn't stitched anything until I came to your actual blog!
Now I can see you've made great progress after all.
Also, seeing your Velentine stitch reminds me that I haven't even had that issue yet, they sent the wrong mag!
