my April WIPocalypse Update

WIPocalypse time again!

Things have not been going as I had hoped ... but I am going to post the little bit of stitching I managed to accomplish anyway.

I put some stitched into my Butterfly Forest.  The image below shows where I left off last time. So yay! some progress has been made.

The only other project I stitched on was my "Too Much Honey" Sampler.  I finished the alphabet and the honeypots ... but "Uh-OH!"  Who Moved my Honeypot?

Clearly the honeypot on the right has jumped a stitch or two to the left.  UUGH!  Looks like I have some frogging in my future. The image below shows where I left off last time.

So, I did make a little progress - even with the moving honeypot.

And that's how my Spring stitching has been going.

On the brighter side, several new art pieces and murals have been popping up around Midtown Atlanta.  Here are a few:

Finding art around town is one of my favorite things about living in the city.
Happy Stitching!

  1. Nice progress on everything and that is really fun art!

  2. I love your butterfly forest, it is coming along nicely and will look so pretty when done. I also hate it when my stitches move themselves at night while I sleep, they never go into the right areas. Happy stitching! Love the around town art work too, I hope you post more pictures of your discoveries.

  3. Your stitching is beautiful. Love those butterflies. I'm in Metro Atlanta and used to hang out in Midtown when my son was at Tech. But lately my hangout is the burbs.

  4. The butterflies look great against the muted background.
Love the city art, especially that last piece.

  5. I love your work on Butterfly Forest, it's so pretty! =)

  6. Great artwork and such pretty butterflies

  7. The butterflies are coming along beautifully!
It's been over 20 years since I've been to Atlanta, I think we need to go back - the art looks fun!

  8. Love the butterflies, vivid detail against the soft background, so beautiful. And you found some interesting and fun art!
